My Story

My journey in the beauty industry began at only 16yrs old as a trainee hairdresser. Between then and now I have been a cosmetic consultant for Elizabeth Arden, Max Factor, and No.7, selling to the armed forces personnel and their families in Germany where I was awarded a "vote of confidence" from the customers for my expert cosmetic knowledge, artistic eye, approachable and friendly demeanour, as well as my customer service skills.

Fast forward some years after studying Level 3 Beauty therapy at the renowned Mary Reid School of Beauty Therapy in Edinburgh I was fortunate to acquire a position as a beauty therapist at the prestigious 5 star Gleneagles Hotel and Spa in Perthshire whereby I perfected my craft in general beauty treatments.

Permanent Makeup was an area I wished to specialise in so after thorough research I completed an in depth and intensive training course with two of the worlds most renowned Permanent Cosmetics Artists Karen Betts of Nouveau Contour and Tracey Simpson of Natural Enhancement.

In 2003 Permanent make up was extremely new to the beauty industry so I was one of only a few artists throughout Scotland at that time. My services were sought after by many salons whereby I ran monthly clinics from Ayr to Arbroath.

I have been told on many occasions that I am a perfectionist, but when effectively tattooing a face, nothing else will do surely.

They say you should always follow your dreams so more recently my lifelong yearning to become a hairdresser saw me finish what I originally started at the age of 16 after completing a level 2 & 3 hairdressing course including Barbering at Perth UHI, whereby I was awarded "Student of the year". This was such a meaningful award as it affirmed what I always knew, I was meant to be a "hairdresser“

A combination of all the above has furnished me with the knowledge, skills and experience to offer my clients a bespoke one to one complete service. Whether it is just a little tweak to enhance one’s natural beauty or a full reinvention I can assure my clients that Angela Lamont Hair and Beauty will not disappoint.
